No nitrous. The Pro Drag class I’ve raced since 2010 allows any fuel, any engine, no minimum weight. Nitrous is the only thing not allowed.

We’re changing the can out to a Taylor 12”. My Geigertech clamp assembly will still be used with a new swivel that accommodates the Taylor can

Standard bore/stroke 2.5. I have a Drag engine and a 280, both modified. If you’re on FB you could go to Dave Bush’s page. He posted a couple times about the 2.5

At Jasper last year he had some runs that were the fastest a 2.5 Merc has ever run, beating the almighty V8, Monty told me later the 8 was falling off, so this is going to be SPECIAL, the V8 always has the top end pull but Erik with Dave's help had that Q ship flying on top end.

We had some minor issues on Saturday in Jasper. Got the bugs worked out Sunday.

I raced Tyler’s methanol V8 in June at the Farmerville race. Got by him both days.

Boat handled great and it was shaping up to be everything we thought it would be. Unfortunately when we were adjusting the steering I didn't get the deadhead clamp tight enough. Steering cable pulled loose causing the boat to do a 360 spin then dug in and barrel rolled twice. Boat was accelerating hard somewhere around 100. I came away with a broken collarbone and some minor cuts. Boat is a total loss

Sorry to hear this happened, glad you are able to post.

You guys work so hard to prepare for this race, this is definitely a tough situation, as you guys were on pace for some great racing.

Good of luck on your healing, sorry for your boat loss.

Very happy you're ok sir, but can imagine how you must feel putting your time, money, sweat and tears into you passion to have this happen, keep your chin up as you live to race another day.
