Mine has a stock bottom, being a 76 it has the pronounced hook and drives very different from my viper. It gave two warnings in half a second the third was a smack off the side of the boat. I set the limiter back to 7k and it's gonna stay there.

if you bump it up and rpm increase but speed does not.....go back down!!!

the trophy i would think would have alot of bow lift and carrying abililty ....try a srx, ET, hoss triton, offshore cut chopper....even a et cut chopper is great

I guess my concern with bumping the trim up at very high speeds is getting too much air under the boat?

Trophy may have too much bow lift, been ok so far, I like the way it feels, but don't have a lot to compare it to in this boat. I do have a full interior and a 25 gallon fuel cell in the bow ( previous owner). But also has a big #450 motor in the back. Feels balanced pretty well though, doesn't feel too heavy or light in the bow.

    I’m assuming you’re asking the difference between a sst120 and 2.0 Champ?
sst120 was a steel bore, carbuerated, fat block 2.0 specifically for the sst120 class....rated from 180 to 200hp
2.0 Champ was only made for a few years, and was a nic bore case injected, heavily ported, designed for the champ series, and 300+hp

This is what I’ve always thought.....could be wrong tho, as I have no real experience with either powerhead.
