A few years ago I bought a 12 tin boat with a 15 merc for a reason. That 100 bill would last me a month.

Start telling your kids when they are about 3... yes I know you're hungry. There isn't any more. Get a job. (I had my first, a paper route at 12 because I was hungry and yes I spent the earnings on food. I have been working ever since). The face value of money is irrelevant if you don't have any.

I got to tour the waste to energy plant in ft Lauderdale. The guys there showed me some pictures of pallets of money... PALLETS OF MONEY, shrink wrapped being loaded into the incinerator by secret service. I think about that whenever the boat breaks.

I think its important to understand that money is a representation of value but they aren't the same thing. The government can create or destroy money at will without affecting the total value of the economy or quality of life of the citizens at all.
Also consider that over 90% of money consists of 1's and 0's in a computer.

Great theory , however it doesn't make those hundreds any easier to get ! I live in the "Sea of Mediocrity " in terms of vehicles , boats , toys etc and it works for me . Being able to do things for yourself certainly makes things more affordable . Now taxes , insurance and fuel is the ever changing denominator that you can't seem to ever keep up with . Fortunately I live in a great state that has relatively low taxes , good weather , great fishing and boating opportunities all fairly close by so for a blue collar slave you can live well . Time to get out and enjoy the weekend ! Going to head out in one of the "fleet of old boats " and be happy !
