I'm guessing that the new 26X is a reconfigure of the AO 26?

Hi AZMIDLYF - you are correct sir....and to your point, we are making a fair share of modernized (reconfiguring) tweaks to the hull/deck along the way(maybe even a center console option as phase 2). More next week and as we finalize the molds.

    Thank You.

    Dean

It actually is a reconfiguration of a Talon, since Talon was who American Offshore copied their bottom from. Just want everyone to know where the original design came from. Thanks Todd

Thanks Todd and I remember you stating that back when you made the AO 26 purchase. Can't wait to see your ideas used on this.

The AO 26 molds did not go as planned. They are un-usable in their current condition. When we bought them with the understanding that they were "Ready to go." When they showed up and we reviewed their condition, it was going to take 10's of thousands of dollars to repair them, even then they still would not be up to my expectations.

So plans changed and we went back to making an improved Talon 26 off of what we have learned with the Talon 22's over the years. The Talon 25 is just a large design of the 22 almost to a "T." So, what you will see in the 26 a more modern flat deck with a wrap around windshield, new cockpit layout with more room, a new bottom to be more efficient in cutting down on drag, but at the same time not losing the great handling the Talons have been known for. Thanks Todd

    Hello Guys !
Congratulations on the joint venture Dean and Todd. I just came across this thread. Is there any pics of the 23R coming out Dean? I'm currently finishing up a green 22XL with a 400R that Todd built me. I'm really interested seeing the new 23R model looks design etc.

Hi Blowitup, thank you! The Talon 23R builds on the XL, with incremental length, deck tweaks... and the offer of twin Mercury Racing 300R’s. We are actually starting the build of our first Talon 23R with twins as we speak. Expect that to finish towards the end of October. Will be a rocket... we’re excited. Also, New Talon 24 builds also in flight, as well as the brand new 26X. Pics and updates soon!

That's great news. I'm excited to see some of the new boats you guys are working on. It's always good to see new boats evolving. That 300r looks awesome from the posts Randy has posted. What a great time to be producing new outboard boats with the new Mercury line of V-8 coming out. Best of luck. Look forward to seeing these new models.

I finally sold the silver one this week after Karen told 3 of my customers not to buy mine because it had a wood transom, was too heavy, and slow! (All of which are true) I really appreciated the support. No more Talons for me!
Randy, sorry you feel you were mis-treated by us up here SEB. When we sold you the last of the wood transom/ heavy built boat in January 2016 for $14,500, we discounted that way down so you had room to make money. We also delivered that boat to you for free and it took almost one year to get all of our money from you on it.

I was hoping you would buy more boats every year to become a dealer. I felt I spent a great amount of time with you on this boat, even as recent as this year. As far as the pricing goes, you would have received the same pricing as everyone else, since we were not able to set up a dealership with you. Pricing is all the same and the options are all the same for everyone.

It bothers me that you would say this after I changed the year on that boat 3 times for you and went through hell with the Coast Guard about it. Originally it was a 2016, then as a 2017 and just this year as a 2018. Pure paperwork hell, no cost to you.

Sad to hear you took this to the internet versus calling me! Todd

If you want their names and phone numbers I can provide them
Randy, that is not true on the price for the boat built in 2015 and titled as a 2016. I attached a picture of the breakdown of the original invoice. I will be more than happy to post the checks for it tomorrow. You paid $14,500 for it, but if you want to say $16,000, then you still owe me $1500, because I only have checks for $14,500.

I sold you the first boat at dealer cost with the intentions of a second boat was being bought in 2016. We have always told people who want to be dealers that they had to buy 2 boats every year and got the breaks for both boats on the second boat. We broke our own rules and sold you the first one at dealer price with the belief another one would be ordered in 2016 and was not. So this returned you to standard pricing like everyone else. If anyone got a price break, it was because we were building them turnkey boats and they were spending a lot of money with us, so discounts were applied. You would have received the same prices and discounts for the same configurations.

In my opinion making us wait almost a year for full payment, a 2nd boat was never ordered, asking me to change the year of this boat 3 times, probably 20-30 phone calls trying to help you with the boats performance, 20-30 calls from people about this boat, and I know Karen nor I ever told anyone to not buy your boat. We could not wait for it to be sold, so we were not asked to mess with it anymore. Who got screwed?

Yes, I would love to have the names of these people who told you we told them not to buy a Talon from you. My email is [email protected]. I will personally call them.
What is sad is I just gave your name, Troy Hannan’s name, and Grant Bruggemann’s name to a Chris Schoenfeld out of Ohio about painting and rigging a new 32 Spectre he was inquiring into. He was looking for someone to rig and paint one faster than I could. I have been doing this since this first Talon. I guess I will have to re-think that in the future.

Randy is the one of the best in the business and an upstanding guy. I would use him to paint and rig performance boats over anyone in the business.

SEB also has a fantastic reputation, and builds top notch quality boats. They have went above and beyond for me in the past, when they had zero reason too. So IMO they have great customer service as well.

nothing again wild man just seems like screaming eagle was getting discredited in this statement.
