factor in the core removed was wet, and weight gain is minimal
factory had some weight goals keep in mind the limited power of outboards back then. also by having weight goals knew how much materials were going into the boats ( boats are budgeted as dollars per pound )
minimal weight added to the pad but its now indestructible, if he hits something it can never damage anything else and repairing it only from the outside only wont be an issue. that also eliminated the low spots where water would collect and not drain. the drain at the stern is now pad level no more low spots

No. I can report that the recore was finished Rob at Raybo did a excellent job. I just moved it back over into the main shop last night. I am putting together a custom 1500XS short shaft motor for it.
