    Jsre 260

I'm not really sure how much attention is given to jay smith regarding his capabilities as an engine builder but from first hand experience this man is outstanding! Not only to deal with but his attention to detail and a great guy in general. I'm not trying to come off as an ass kisser but you have to give the man props for what he does. I recently had a 260 built by him that got wizard pistons, dry stacked, chest cut, heads cut, fly wheel lightend balanced polished and painted, horn cut, new reeds, new brain, injectors flowed, new plugs and wires, front case cut, and everything assembled for 6,000. Not only does the man do great work but he will also send befor and after pics of the whole process and to top it off he'll give you any advice you need on setup or just little tips and tricks to get the most mph outa your boat and motor. Thank you for everything Jay. Brad

I keep on waiting for a thread about JSRE not delivering a paid for part, or people screaming about him using crooked bolts, or keeping a customers engine for a year but the long wait is getting monotonous.. I have to sleep sometime

12 or 13 years ago I bought a couple of tools from Jay. He was very busy and he was about a week late in shipping. Called me every day, he had to make some stuff for me, let me know what was happening and shipped free and included a hat. He stayed in touch and was only a little late and free shipping. That was only about $10 but it was a good thought. I I wanted a V6 built, I'd definitely consider Jay. Or Chris. Both top notch.
