Oh man you know what. the more I look at this pic were the little flap on the gasket is showing in the circle was were it was leaking!! Ill take her for a run to verify but its all coming back to me know! haha Pluss it makes more sense. Im remembering that little flap sticking up were it was now. haha Thats ok I would have needed that other gasket anyway to tear it down to the injectors I think. This will be my first time going into it that far. lol

Ok Had more than a min before work tonight and took a better look with a light!! In the pic were my finger is shows obviously were its leaking!! Im so sorry about the inaccurate description i gave of my issue for the start of this thread. I feel like a dummy. lol {Not the fist time]

My question now is to get at this gasket do i have to have the power head off? i am taking it off to change the Midsection thats cracked I do have a new mid with pan gaskets ect.. Easier on or off the pan? Also it looks like i will need at least 2 gaskets to replace one on either side of the intake or can I remove the whole front half right from the gasket I need to replace and not mess with the rest infront of it to the acu? Also again having trouble finding gasket numbers. Brucato has them but not sure what one this is. It would seem this one? #27-16737-1 Intake Gasket? i have never taken the motor apart in the front so just making sure I have everything when i start wrenching.

Do I have to take everything piece by piece off in front of that or just the side crap linkage spot and take it off right at that gasket? Thats called the intake gasket right? Easier to do on the motor or off? If anyone has the part number for that gasket thats awsome also. ive never taking it apart in 11 years this far so sorry for the ignorance. it will be nice to take a look inside and see how everything looks first hand. i just want all the gaskets i need ready so i can take it off and put right back on same day type thing. I have a manual but its sorta unclear on that respect.

take it apart.. as you will see whats necessary as ya go!.. first thing is go over it with a fine tooth comb ta determine "everything that has to disconnect/unplug" so ta speak... will save ya some choice words later.. lotsa pictures might help ya goin' back together.....

No Manual? Tough to use a torque wrench on some of those without taking it all apart.

Thank your very very much I do have a manual and it shows the break down and what linkage to undo ect... I just wondered if there was a way without taking everything apart and what gaskets if I have to. TLWJKW that is exactly what I needed to no. ill order those gaskets right way. Ill get started once there in. THANKYOU!! Having never tore into one this far I didnt want to find ut as I went what gaskets I needed as it takes weeks to get them hear. Disassembled that long would mean a chance of forgetting or loosing something. lol Like my mind.... haha

Yes i was looking at the sides i can see were the bolts go into the housing of the block and the center ones for something else behind the intake plate. Easier to do do it on a table or on the boat? i have to pull the power head to change the mid section anyway. Might be best just to do it all when its off ya think?
