I can't "paint people" with a broad brush as all the same to me, and come in many "flavors". I know people live water front here mansions, friends but "cheap"..(but help me if needed free, as them), and some who are not "wealthy", but honest, real and also great friends. It ALL depends on "the who it is" Yep some like that "give ya $10 an hour" Nope. Damn! After Nam (69), my job at Reynolds as a Apprentice Machinist in 1973 was STARTED at $13 hour 43 YEARS ago! I was laid up "injured in a stupid move in the fall" and one the wealthy got my boat out the slip and parked and pickled her me. Then had a friend mine (works his ass off for a living, super nice guy), come here and back pack blower on and get on my shop roof, blow the tree junk off, gutters, then two more easy house gutters. Time? 20 minutes. Cost? Would have done it free as done him many free favors (gearhead)...but I tossed a couple $20's and said "Thanks..keep it". But the wealthy dude who helped me get the boat out? Called me 2 nights ago and asked.."can I get a pack of smokes off ya as no condition (beers) to drive the 9 miles nearest store" Sure, come on over. Well, stops over..(once a week we BS shop, get wasted, drinks all my beer's, smokes my dope..(but HE GETS IT CHEAP FOR ME TOO delivered) and tossed out a $5 me and I said "keep it" Told me if ya ever need anything let me know. But I get even at his crib as smoke his ****, AND, "M/T all his "Corona bottles"! Its all good us here. (Plus he's a free to me "Stock Analyst hints" and its not the money to me, but the "WHO". Called people met. Damn! Sold bike and boat parts many on first met, and many turned into great friends too! "Then ya get the assholes" and say GTF away from me........

Old friend of mine's family had one of those when we were young. Did a lot of skiing behind that boat. His was blue.

It that going to be a complete redo or just transom?

Wrong! Your "hobby" is paid (helps anyway) for doing others less skilled that need help! Done it all my life. Easy "known the how to fix", In and Out, few bucks pocket, and back yer toys. Big stuff needed? Maybe the off season, but will cost ya, if my stuff don't need work first. Think the dedication ya done converting that old barn for "stuff to do"
Hows that heater holding up? Soon "not needed". Come on! Without a shop? Life in the way? Boring and ya into rocking chair on the porch sling shooting rocks at kids.."Get off my damn lawn"...keep on Trucking..life is good, just dealing with idiots sucks! Porch rocker chair coming, have one, but sling shot either a 1/2 hot dog, or a "cookie" when the neighbors come by walking there doggys! Neighbors know I'm a lovable idiot, but need any mechanical fix it? Bring it back to the shop, and I'll look it. Life is good me...

But think about all of the other peoples hobbies that you keep going Kev (you just need to use their stuff, after all they wouldn't have it without you being in the picture). "your 24 might not be running but Ryan's is close-right"

Thanks Joe. Like my dad says, The best boat to have is someone else's! Ryan hung the starboard motor yesterday. Beef worked nights and assembled the 2nd Powerhead last week. We have been pointing ryan in the right direction but he has been busting his ass to get it done. I used Ryans sporty at Suwannee for about 200 miles

Gary has the right idea, Take pictures of your work start a album people pay for experience.

Smartest guy I ever knew made $8 and hr and worked for me.

He said,"a boat is a great thing for a friend to own".

    I've always been the friend.
