    Power , that's a great idea ... !

What kind of "breakaway" and "steady pull" numbers do you look for ?

Here's my digital scale .... what kind do you have ?

Let me know when it begins ... I have 40 gallons of honing oil to pre heat ...

Dave , Bro when those planes slammed into the towers even the blue chip portfolio I had got hit just as hard . Instead of running away , I said this is America , we ain't going no where . The last eight years didn't do me any favors either .
What I learned thru it all was that all I can really count on is me . So instead of makin a hook shot at the broker's office when I make a little money , I buy tools (toys ) and material's to work with .
    Err ... I mean , thanks dude ...

Assembly force or just 1 piston. My leak-down numbers will fail like i did in history class,i seem to have never had the patience for a proper brake-in, thank god for the plateau. Those planes hit allot of us hard in many ways, been in the aerospace industry wrenching/flying my entire life. Dave

A family friend asked me : If you hit the lottery , what would you do ?
I told him which plot of land I would buy and how big a building I would put on it . Then which machines I would fill it with ...

He said ude your ****** up , you'd be a multi millionaire and all you can think of doing is going to work !!!!!

Yes , but then I could afford to be my own best customer ....

Porting finished, one bank honed with the Lisle 280 grit, next bank will be done this weekend. Before I start the reasembly, do I have anything to gain by enlargening the piston finger port holes? Pistons are stock cast style.

    Honing finished
Lisle with 280 stones and a strong handheld electric drill did the trick!
The bores seemed somewhat round, so it was quite uncomplicated. Didn't experience any uneven pull so I guess the bores should be ok. Used vegetable oil, lots of it, which seemed to work fine. However the hone took out so little at a time, so it took a while.
Worked in steps until the small edge created by the piston rings(just below the deck) were gone.
Now I'm in the process of modifying the piston windows to match the sleeves before the reassebly will start. I recieved new ring, bearings and gaskets from the U.S. yesterday, so right now I only need to find time.
