Do y'all think it's a good idea posting all this on the web. Tree huggers are already trying to get rid of 100LL.
Think about it.

Just keep thinking that. It's federal not just state.
If you have any friends that are pilots just ask them

I drive into the airport, go to the office..they say "gas for the boat?" I say "yep" They hand me a slip, I pump the gas, write the numbers on the slip,go back to the office, pay, say "Thank you" and leave. It's been that way for like 20 years.

I hope they can do it. I would prefer a 100 no lead as long as they can keep the corn out of it so that has a shelf life and doesn't attract all of the condensation like all of the other pump fuel that they are forcing on us. I am very lucky to be part of a neighborhood with a private airport that has self serve 100LL, and 93 (non ethanol) mogas. The 100LL is 50 cents a gallon less.

The smaller the airport the better is 100% true, most of the uncontrolled fields have self serve pumps now days so just drive up like you own the place, some pumps will ask for a tail N number just put the number of the smallest propeller driven plane you see nearby hopefully it wont be turbine powered lol. If the ramp rat selling gas doesn't want to sell it to you hes not just being a d#%k their told not to sell fuel to people in cans, but if you tell them its for an home built airplane rv4 or rv7 at a grass strip or helicopter on a trailer R22 or r44, you will usually have no problems. Joe, i think they have several ul100 fuels being tested by lycoming and continental right now, fear is they will be much more expensive. I have read they can make the fuel meet the octane requirements with other additives easily the issue is valve guide lube and shelf life, i think 100ll is supposed to meet spec after 1 year of sitting. Do you guys get Tesco Momentum 99 in the states or shell v power straight from a auto gas station ?
99% of Tesco garages in the uk have Tesco momentum 99 on the forecourt available to anyone, its just a bit more expensive than regular unleaded.Over here we can get Tesco 99 that is 99 ron rated and shell v power that is 100 ron. these are the highest for normal fuel station forecourts.
Most high performance European cars benefit from using this stuff. the shell v power has no lead and supposedly no ethanol at all .
This is about the best we can get without forking out a fortune for race fuel or aircraft 100ll.
would this be almost the same power as aircraft fuel ?

Most of us understand that 100LL it's NOT a great fuel for big hi reving two strokes.BUT it can and does fill a void, providing acceptable use.I have been told by a petro chemical lab tech, the two biggest issues are #1 it's weight, being lighter that car gas it is less powerful when metered by volume, this can be compensated for by jetting or pulse width. #2 Burn rate, seems it is a little slower than car gas. What that means is that peak cylinder pressure occurs at around four degrees of crankshaft rotation LATER than car gas.So four degrees of power stroke rotation with little to no power. This would mean that timing would need to go from 25 degrees to 29 to keep peak cylinder pressure at 14 degrees ATDC.Not good. On a lake/river boat not needing that last bit of power,It still fits the bill for a lot of us.Yes the next generation of av fuel Is coming, but the current blue will be with us for quite some time

I have to contradict. I run approximately 4° advance at about 7,000 rpm with AV gas.
My jetting was more determined by my exhaust tuning than the fuel.
