Great History lesson. I was guessing approx. 1600-1700 with the x, the 10" bobs hydro , Oil tank , 10 gallons of go go , the battery and my 220 ass , The boat is solid and I had no reservations concerning the x and a jacker off the transom for a River /Lake Runner . I have only ran it a few hours, and yes it drives very well ,and I really like sitting down in the pit and not getting air blasted . I would be interested in a open fairing for the trunk. Great info!
    Thanks!

Brent--you will love that boat-no bad habits at all-pulls the nose down about 115 and runs on rails...never put a big wheel on it and let it eat but had it in the mid 120s a lot with no issues...that thing should be a beast with that motor...i'll let you know about the rear fairing as soon as i hear from andy-they went to miami for a big birthday party and haven't made it back yet ???? .........greg

How is the hydraulic steering feel on that small of a boat at those speeds?

I can't feel much of difference at all compared to others boats I have ran with the same set up.

I was just curious because you see some with hydraulic and others with string/cable set ups.

That side steering is the S..t. it keeps the motor from moving at all and usually equal an extra mph or 2 !

You know he will put up a video when he gets the numbers North of 135- He is making changes before the boat gets wet again. You gotta love someone like Brent that has true passion for achieving a mark-

Those minor tweaks/ adjustments don't include race gas and nitrous so I don't think so....

Random curious question: Some of these tunnel boats do a little "hop" in the mid range depending on set up. I'm curious as to how the STV's, Mirage's, etc. act with additional engine weight with more torque.
