So what was the story on the 200hp 118-120mph Hering motor?

A very good T2 with kilo porting ... its hard to make 2 racing motors exactly alike. Build 12, dyno them and send the best to the best drivers

Good numbers, but if porting and and machining were duplicated today could the engine live a decent amount of hrs? I'm thinking that the blocks and case had the crank center line honed towards the deck(top) with the case cut. What is the cranking psi on as factory T2X , piston chamber clearance?

I doubt you'd be able to buy the Morgan carbs.

This is the photo you can see the BP shifting lower unit in. (just barely) Must be a pretty early c6. Cool things in this photo to note: Morgan carbs, BP mid, BP lower unit, Petty bracket, single pipe exhaust, no lower cowling ,no aluminum flywheel yet, unique casting on intake. Most T2/x front intake have a bowtie look to the side casting. This is a different casting and is square.

One other note. Is there an entrance sign above the motor that says. Lake Havasau?

And look at the exhaust chest....Its larger like the T2's ?......Wonder what the water jacket looks like ? 135 or T2 has to be 135 if the crank is 135 correct....Very Cool engine!
