I don't have time (or knowledge) to be rigging boats, so if you can make it a complete set up, I'd listen.

Gary, good talking with you. Your boat is definitely in the running, and like I said on the phone if you were 3hrs away I'd drive right over and bring the doe rea me.
Willing to meet somewhere in between if we can make a solid agreement prior to travel. The boat will be in Shreveport La. this weekend for the NORTHERN CHAPTER BYUBOYZ RALLEY.

Gary's boat is mint. It would be worth the trip and you would not be disappointed in any way.

    What do I want?

    Liberator 21'

    Possibly the right Checkmate

Price range? $20,000 would be nice, but would spend more ($30K?) for the right boat.

Just an update.....still looking! I have gotten 3 or 4 texts from boat sellers that I would be very interested in if they were closer to me.

I am going to struggle to spend $30,000 to $40,000 on a boat I cant view for myself in person, and I don't have the time with a busy business and kids and blah blah blah lol.

So.....although I have become more flexible on the type of boat I'd buy, I do need to emphasize, if its not in WI, or very close to WI (Minneapolis, northern IA, etc), I'll have to pass).

Boats considered, but not limited to.....open bow Checkmates, the right STV, 21' Liberators, etc. Outboard motor is almost a must.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks Jason. I am confused in that you must be referring to the view from the back of the boat is mint.

Don't be afraid to take a drive. . . i have 24 hours of driving to pick up my new one this weekend, but when it's back in the garage, it will all be worth it :-) . . . . yes, it's a gamble, but that is part of the fun, and from a reputable person, i feel very comfortable . . . .

    An STV, Liberator, Allison, etc.

I kind of like the idea of an Optimax on the back for simplicity, but will buy a boat with an older 2.5/etc.

Right hand steer preferred. 4 seater preferred.
