Ok... I bought a 27" Ballistic... thanks Don (mouse4x4) I'll be hacking off a couple blades!
But don't expect results soon... this is a winter project! (I'm in New York!)

Message "Skater1" as he still has some old 2 blade props that he may want to sell.

The old Michigan wheel elephant ears used to rule in the 70s.Those days are LONG gone. They still may have a use on an 1500 Merc,15' Allison with low water pickup, and no cone, but beyond that not much.

Nope 2 blades are relics of the past. The right 3 or 4 blade stainless prop will run significantly faster on an Allison or anything else.

If for some reason you think your current 4 blade has too much area, have the diameter reduced. Cutting off 2 blades won't help.

We actually surfaced the brass 2 blades on the quickie (1 to 1) lower units.
Damn RIGHT! Had a 74 Switzer 17SS, new Merc XS1500. Ran a surface 2B SS 14x28 cupped and ran solid 73 mph. BUT! Surface 2B tore up (expanded the bullet) and even pinned didn't last. But young and dumb, and who cared as that boat really "got the girls", as the "tail was impressive"! Yep 3b Brass for skiing. I got more sex in the boat than the bedroom! Also STILL run a 12x14 SS 2B on my 135 TOP 15 foot Flatty. Just cause I can and works better than any 3b I got. The Swit...

The only thing a 2 blade is good for is ruining a perfectly good housing.

Depends on application. Think drag boats, unlimited boats. And the most efficient prop, would be a single blade, but not gonna work.

robby got it right... egg beaters 3, 4, 5 is it... even on speedies.. car motor hot rods, 2's are king....

know what ya sayin' 'bout ya sw.. ran something real close way back then .. a little "mustang sled", inlines with speedy.. 2 blade, pound a 1/4 x 20 grade 8 bolts, ny-loc nuts, looked more like it was for a model plane...
