Sorry I didn't take the time to clean the gearcases up. You can see both units have low water pickup. The previous owner had modified the driveshafts to run them on a v6 crossflow. The original shafts had different splines.

Both of these units are direct drive with no neutral or reverse. I ran the 1:1 on a switzer craft with a 1977 200 crossflow with a ccc fronthalf. It was impressive for what it was. I never ran the clubfoot.

I wouldn't mind having a clubfoot gearcase. However I feel it better used for racing purposes only though as having no neutral or reverse might affect fishability -for me anyways guys. It's cool though to see some of these still in existance. Thanks for the photos!

I think I've made my decision and I'm going to go with a Sporty or torquemaster. Adapter plates alredy exist for these and I know where a couple are already. Still though I enjoy reading and the photos guys, thanks.

Did the Evinrude Super Strangler and Johnson Stinger GP 8 pumper Race KR15s ('71-'76) come as both 15" and 20" motors? I know that there were some running changes made each model year.

The links you tried to post are not showing the pictures of the motor. They are dead.

I was not sure what OMC factory race offered for Super Strangler/Stinger GP shaft lengths. Someone will know for sure if they were only 15" motors.

Strangler/Stinger GP were only 15" lengths.

In addition to the 14:23 and 1:1, there was a 15:17 that was fairly common,a 13:16 and a 16:18 that I have actually seen.
There were actually 3 different bullet diameters: Freddie's pictures show the largest and smallest; there was an intermediate case as well.
The intermediate case looks like it would fit the CCC gears. Unfortunately, I only have the housing and not the guts for it.
