OK, The Guaranteed Stator from Marine Supply Inc. in Gulfport is also bad. Switched the wires at the CD boxes and now I have spark on Starboard and none on Port!
SO....I'm out my time and return postage. Good thing is my new High RPM Stator, straight from CDI will be here by Saturday!

I just got done chasing the Same problem on my promax, ended up being stator and switch boxes and went ahead and replaced the trigger while I was under there,it was showing some age cracking.

    Well....I just thought I'z done!!!
Got it wet today and cranked fine off the trailer but idling out to the bouys when I crowded the throttle it sounded like a double A Fueler. Just didn't sound normal.
Trying to come out of hole it wouldn't rev past 2500-3000, not enough to get on top and still sounded pretty ragged!
Came home and check spark which looked good on all 6.
I changed the 2 new generic switch boxes to the factory original, still had spark on 6 but when I installed new plugs it wouldn't fire and run.
Then I noticed an extreme amount of fuel dripping from the exhaust housing, (Port Side Only)....See Pic?
Question is...Will an injector stuck open dump enough fuel that the engine floods enough it won't fire?
Injectors were cleaned at Tony's when I purchased the ACU and both have no more than 10 hours running!

That's my morning plan! It's amazing how sometimes one prob leads to another.
The engine had and was running perfect until I stopped at a fishing hole a few days ago. An hour later when I went to leave it just spun over without cranking up.
Thinking possibly no spark, when I got to my shop I checked spark and 1 bank was dead. A new stator fixed that but the thing is, thinking back, it never even tried to start at the lake and I should have at least heard it fire, even if only on the 3 cyls that were making spark.
After the new stator today it cranked and ran even though it sounded bad...possibly flooding or saturated plugs? Then when I got back to the shop it would just crank over and never hit once! It shows spark on all 6 but you can't hear it fire at all when you try to crank it!
It must be really flooding bad as all the fuel coming out of the port side exhaust?

This morning still no start so pulled the injectors. None were stuck open so spun it over to see what was going on. They were all putting out a ton of fuel except #1 was dead. I tapped on it and it went to work......now this scares hell out'a me knowing I could possibly lose it again at speed which you know the consequences!!!
Just for grins I put my stock ECU, (A-37 with 20 years on it), back on and the dang thing fired right up.
I'll go back to the ramp and check it out today and then try the ACU again!

DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SOURCE ON 260-280 INJECTORS???

I have had two sets of Mallory replacement switch boxes cause a Brocato ACU to double fire the fuel injectors and flood the motor, Chris

Ran good today on the factory ECU and factory boxes but seemed really rich on idle.
I'll change back to the ACU tomorrow and give it a try with the factory switch boxes since they are working good!!
BTW Chris, the way the engine sounded yesterday with the ACU and generic boxes, it very well could have been double firing the injectors and finally saturated the plugs, but just by looking at them when they were off this morning, they're putting out a ton of fuel even with the stock ECU and boxes!
    I'll know more tomorrow!
I'd buy a set of new injectors if I knew where to get'em!
    Thanks!!!!
