Seems like "the guru" has a lot of other peoples stuff....A legend in his own mind. The CRT venture is serious business and I am guessing they will work through any and all problems as they come up. If the case is a limiting factor like all good hot rodders they will build/find one that works.

This is what it takes to make something new and innovative....and patience. I'm surprised at the lack of support and encouragement for this product. Its the "platform motor" we all love..... and hate to see die.
Hats off to the developers, who probably have 1,000 plus hours of R+D in it not to mention the $$$ invested
This is not the kind of stuff you make on a long weekend !!

No it's not Wally. I talk to Matthew almost daily and know this is something he works on every day, trying to tweak this part and that part before committing to production. I really think once everyone sees a final product they'll love it.

Alternator provisions
Both the 2.5 and the 3.5 blocks can be milled with provisions to bolt a bracket too for the addition of an alternator.

Caldwell ran awsome at Plymouth. While it wasnt a comple crt motor that front half sure worked well. No one was even close.

Love to see a stock 300 drag/F1 and a CRT 2.5 dyno compared to see how the new design out performs the old

Anyone who thinks this is not happening I can assure you it is. 3.5L in second stage of mfg. I don't race boats, I'm a Mfg/Indstrl Eng. We are making the finest outboard parts money can buy. I am helping Matthew, and the other guys involved, make sure these are "out-of-the-box" baddesst thing on the plant, per liter, power-plant available. I"ll be in Jasper with Matthew if any of you guys are there, stop in and see us.

the pistons, rings and cranks are the serious part of the equation, everything is designed for some serious punishment.

well, the 2.5 i can pick up with one hand after machining and before it requires a lift...down to the ounce i have not checked it...Matthew knows as well as some of the others but i would guess it starts out at about 400lbs and is down to 60-80lbs for the block
