When I owned that 15 I had a 2.4 200 cross drilled manifold reeds disconnected oil injection advance box 2:1 fleet master gearcase 14 1/2 30 lab Cleaver and she went 96

Ira...You mean me? Or the jet powered Viper crew? I run my boat very conservatively these days and have owned go fast boats since 1970 or so. I would strap one on if I was gonna run trimmed to the edge for a top end #. Never a bad idea to wear one. I ran my King to 103 at one time and was wearing a good vest...

Hey, if you feel good doing it, wth go for it......I have flown a plane 100' off the ground inverted. Didn't seem to be very dangerous at the time..I could never get my buddy to go flying with me again tho.
