To put it back on track... what do you think a 21CC Superboat , Millennium console and seats rigged with a Mercury 150 and hydraulic steering would cost? I don't really have an idea, I'm just throwing it out there ? There are a half dozen boat builders that build a 20' family/fish boat CC with a lot of seating / live wells and bells and whistles for the $35K area.
Here is the 16CC

I tried to keep it classy was just asking questions. That's what u get for questioning the authority on this site. Again all I wanted was the break down explained and when there was no good explanation they get the post counter out and it's bs. Did not mean to offend anyone. Just wanted to know how a near identical boat w identical rigging could b 20 k more. The caniadians started in with the post counting. I don't post on here cause I find the answers to the questions I need on my own by real (masters). Not internet masters. If your a real rigging / driving / Stix master you shouldn't have time to have 10k post on here. You should be in your shop doing masterful work. I didn't start this war I just finished it. How many offshore victory does Baha checkmate and liberator have? The same amount I do ZERO. But if anyone wants to compete this summer and actually win races I could possibly be talked into throttling you into the winners circle. And all jokes aside if your really serious your more than welcome to pm me and we'll discuss my perigee. Again all I asked was for honest answers n comparisons cause I was curious n that's what I get. The good ol boys of Internet world champs talking ish n they have no idea who there talking to to. Just drop it. Checkmates Bahas n liberators r the best boats money can buy. Ok u win. Next subject....ps. Before the post count comment came out I called it in a private message and I was dead on I'm not naming names cause that's not my style but this person is behind his desk laughing saying he was exactly right.......NEXT SUBJECT agree to disagree

What are you rambling about? The simple answer is they're not building new STV's or Allisons or Hydrostreams anymore and that's a shame.

Wicked, take a chill pill, dude. Where did anyone say anything about CMs being the best built boat money can buy? I've owned a few over the years and they are not the best boat ever built but far from junk, either. Not everyone is an accomplished racer, and wants to go out in 4-5' as fast as their boat can go. Like women, every boat has its' pluses and minuses. How did this become a bash CM, Baja, and Liberator thread?
I think the problem w- the performance market is a lack of interest from younger folks, the high fuel prices the last several years, stagnant wages w- rising boat and engine prices, changing demographics and interests, and lack of interest in boat racing now days that brings new people into the sport compared to the 70s/80s.

It wasn't. The prob is this is just like texting things get lost in translation. The checkmate comment sounded like he said they were a better boat than a sb. N then it snowballed. Drive what u got n have fun and b safe. But the way I use my stuff I couldn't own a Baha or crackmate. On a puddle sure but not here. I'm more miffed about the post counters. And that's just ignoraint. No one questioned Randy's work. Looks top notch but why not do that top notch rigging on hulls that deserve it. To me putting that rigging in a check mate is the eqivilent of putting a 5k stereo in a 2k Honda Civic. I'd love to see him do that work to a 21 super deck model. Or a 30 cc. And he said he has about a half mill in inventory maybe that cause more people are catching on that those boats don't deserve those top end parts. Dump a couple of those boats and order a 21 sport or a 30 cc and do it. It will sell. The first person w the kind of cash that can afford a 36 cc w trips gets on a 30 w 2 fishing motors will buy it. It's worth a shot. And once one of these guys buys one 2 more are gunna want one than four. Can change the game. I've been in a 30 cc w a single at 65. Than was in a 32-33 fountain w twins. Speed was almost identical. N all said n done it was half the price. Think bout it. U know that market better than me but it don't take a astronaut from nasa to figure out what the better buy is. N that 30 super cc kills a 33 fountain in the ruff stuff. With half the power. It's worth the shot. 1 gets sold down there n it w b like dominos no questions ask.

Randy is a good business guy and I'm sure he'll sell what ever brand that can make him some $$. I don't know the SB factory real well, but since they do make a nice product, why are they not selling a whole lot of boats? Maybe they need to do some marketing. You have to admit that you are not the average boat owner. Not everyone cares to go out on LI sound and beat themselves or equipment to death. One more point, what 'top notch' rigging is Randy doing they doesn't deserve to be in a CM? So a 90' mph 21' Cm doesn't deserve hydraulic steering? While a 21' SB does? I think there is enough people and different boats for everyone in the world!

Here's an idea - count cash instead of posts! lay down the money and prove your point!
Or, sit behind the keyboard and lob nasties over the internet like hand grenades.
And here I thought you were Phil Collins
