I gotta take stock in "Kleenex" thinking/reading this. But thats human emotion "letting it out"............... "onions" are a part of just what we really are............

Dogs are better then a lot of people on most days. Boomer headed over the rainbow bridge in November. There are not a lot of words, at least you're there to see him over. I hated the decision, that's for sure, I feel your pain. Best wishes for healing to you and your family.

Sorry for your loss. I had to make that decision a year ago. Hardest thing I ever had to do.

Every time I had to put down a pet, that damn house had "a cold, empty" feeling to it. But I thought of ya today going to town stock up. My doggy always rode with me, but the hips are getting "old" and hard for her to jump in. I come back out to the van now after shop and its "dogless", but home crashed out. But had to think the many "pets" that live apartments, best thing is walk to "sniff", some in homes get to "go in the yard", NOT like us here S+F. Our dogs go everywhere with us, and them that love "wanna go a boat ride"? DAMN, as "this is way better than sticking my head out the ride window"!
But its a tough day for ya, and "grieve"....its OK....(still a tough day)..

I know it doesn't make it any easier rick, I had to put our min pin to sleep 3 weeks ago, we got him as a rescue when he was 1 year old, he was 15 and had lymphoma. Was the hardest thing I ever did, I couldn't bare to walk in the house once he was gone, but I knew it was the right thing to do, it wasn't fair to him to suffer, and it made it a little easier for me thinking about the last hours with him, that he wasn't the same little guy that I loved for all these years, and I feel your pain. In our garden my wife has this, and it is so fitting.
