So we all agree that the Venom is quicker, and easier to drive fast, than the ss 2000!

Both boats are tit for tat on speed but I promise in a Venom, you'll have a hard time finding a better handling V bottom ski boat over 90.

"Not that either would be used for watersports persay" I used my SS2000 for waterski duty for many years. A moderately skilled skier would pull it all over. But it was fun doing hard U turns after the skier fell/dropped.

The SS2000 and the Venom are perhaps the last 20' V bottom fast boats that will ever be designed. It's a pity the Venom wasn't built consistently well.

One thing not mentioned is that the Venom is very very basic on the inside. Ally is much more user friendly to the person who wants a little dry storage!

Who has the Venom molds? I would love to see someone put some quality into them, but I understand why someone isn't willing to take the risk. Build them for quality and ask a hefty price and everyone will say that's too much. Build them cheaper and people will knock the quality. Beautiful boats.

I think thats pretty much the situation now. Last I heard, the company that builds Stroker boats is building them and I assume they are the best quality to date. I've only seen / heard of 1 being built though so not sure what's going on.
