If you look carefully, joey is calling out Buey, Buey, Buey, also look at all the debris flying all around the cocpit

Im surprised to see two seasoned veterans running those speeds without helmets. Were they at least slowing down when they were in the fog? Glad nobody was hurt.

Here's a snap from the video - the bell buoy they hit was 1GI not can 3 , off the north east corner of Gardiners Island (about 1/5 down the course between Plum Gut and Montauk)
After watching the video a few times in slow-mo, it's difficult to think they were doing 140+ at that point. The sequence below shows where Joey has the throttle just prior to spotting the buoy, then he pulls all it way back, then during the turn/impact his hand comes off and something causes the stick to go forward again (further then prior to the impact)

The DCB. is impressive for sure. But there's a huge difference between running in a lake and running in the Atlantic Ocean. That said. I see they were able to pass a marker and not hit it
