Long island yearly boat run

This is not a poker run its just a normal get together and a normal ride to get food. Alright guys and gals. So every year we have the tanner park to freeport boat run. Every year we have 25+ boats of all sizes do the run. For those that are local know that the bay can get rough and when you add another 10+ 28ft and larger boats to the mix all the little guys get beat to holy hell and the run just isnt fun anymore. So this year we are going to try and keep the boat size to a maxium 28

ft. Instead of going to the nautical mile this year we are planning on making the run alittle longer and get lunch at "Pops" which is about 4miles longer. There is a gas dock in freeport before the restaurant if anyone needs fuel. The date will be September 13th which is a sunday or the rain date which will be september 20th which is also a sunday. We will meet at tanner park in copigue around 8am. We plan on leaving tanner to Pops around 10:00am. We will do the normal run which is south to the state channel then west all the way to the resturant. Every boat will have to obey the water ways and 5mph zones. There are alot more cops in nassau this year. Decided to plan this on alittle more then a month in advance just in case anyone out of state wants to join. We will post a few weeks before the run and then again a few days just as a reminder. Hope to see you guys there!

Chris make sure you follow someone who knows where they are going. Lost some paint in the shallows by Gilgo two years ago

I can follow you... I might be a little bored running your pace but think about all the fuel I'll save

No that sounds like a challange but I have no idea where I am going up there

Now if you would like to shoot the flats off LBI in 1 foot of water I might just have something for you

This is really not fair since my boat is currently in your hands you can certainly "detune" it.. lol

A week before the run i will be getting a head count on whos going. The staff will like to know how many are coming so they wont be under staffed. By the way for everyone to know that has not been there before they have 40 boat slips for docking.

Alright guys its about a week away. The owner of Pops wants a close around about on a head count on whos going so he can be prepared. Just message here if you and a friend are coming. Thanks
