Half of GG's charm was for the left hand to guess what the right hand was doing, plus, he never forgave the Don for not getting to meet the Beatles !
GG did run with the hare and hunt with the hounds--------but let's face it, he was head honcho of hi-perf at both Mercury and OMC--------head of the biggest prop scam of all time ---remember the old firm ------Garbrecht and Fountain ? -------Second Effort ??? Gary lived the life of any five other men involved in the marine industry!
They should rename "THE LIFE OF RILEY" To. THE LIFE OF GARBRECHT !
You never really "Knew" GG--------you only thought you did. He was a good friend to both me and my son Mark Even after I fell out with him big time in '71 after Windermere, we became friends again, and remained so until the week he died.
