Mapquest is telling me the shortest way to three lakes is through canada.....dont really want to go that way but going around the lakes is about 900+ miles and i dont know if were gonna wanna swing that in one day:eek:......What do you guys think???

I think the speed limit on I-75 in MI is 70MPH so once you get out of Flint I think it would be smooth sailing but it would be 55mph 2-lane state HWY once you get over the bridge all the way to 3-Lakes.

The Mackinac Bridge is very cool!

Btw 72.9 gps stock 150 with a 26 hoss. Time to go up with the motor and a lil bigger prop. Lookin for at least 80 with the stock motor.

Kinda a side note but I'm working on installing these gauges and I have to ask. Seeing that the dash is approx 1.5" thick, the mounting brackets for the gauges don't even reach the studs. Have others with 'Streams encountered similar problems and what's the fix? I'm thinking of cutting the brackets shorter so they do reach the studs? Any input or ideas is greatly appreciated.:confused:

First you cut the brackets. Then file. Then sand. Then paint. Then clear coat. Then install. Then touch up scratches from install. :eek::thumbsup:

Had the same problem, i took a big hole saw, plunged it into the wood about an inch, then chiseled the piece out.

We had a blast this Saturday and had perfect weather and 10,000 acres of glass to play on all day. 11 Streams total on the day making it the best stop yet. couldn't have asked for anything more. I always wanted to try to animate a sequence of still shots into a .gif file and I finally had a chance due to the photo opps at Kosh. Check it out this is 31 pics taken in burst mode on the still camera and then put in sequence in .gif file which I believe can be used like a regular picture and even used as an avitar photo.

Just got back from a 20 mile run with Baja. No pics so..:( The lake was glass as far as the eye could see.

But Damn i love these motors,

Mark- she is a great runner hasent missed a beat, spun my 29 srx @6600 with my bro in the boat and we could have gone for miles....

So the decission has been made!!!! I'm keeping the blue voyager for myself. My red 83 is now forsale. I really want it to go to a good home. Price will be 2500.00
Boat, trailer, the newer dual cable steering and wheel out of the 86 voyager, and a 5 1/2 manual jack plate.

The red one will make it's last trip to 3 lakes and be derigged monday.:(

I emailed Jim today. There is fuel on the water. Sunset will have 91 and there is a place on Island lake that has 89. I think we will carry an extra tank in the boat in case it gets ugly

Went for a test ride locally in a 19 Eliminator Tunnel w/ a 260 efi merc. Went comfortably high 80's w/ 3 people. I was impressed. Water was calm, I know he had more to play with. Possibility...Close by...hmmm...

I hope they don't cruise more than 30-40mph when we are on the lakes that we can't run wide open cause I'll be outta fuel too!!!

By the way...I briefly talked to Chad about it, but do I have an official ruling on what is going to happen now that I'm not using the VRO pump for oil? Is it going to trigger the low oil buzzer and if so how do we address this issue. I'm not rocking the weekend listening to that stupid buzzer!!!!!!
