what the heck is this?
is that a counter rotating lower unit on an outboard?? when did they make that??

Look again. That's a 4-blade Merc offshore cleaver, and its reflection off the surface of the water.

they did make a merc with a 15 inch shaft and counter rotating props... forget what it was called, search the forum, you will find it

It was called the Deuce High. I believe it was always experimental, never produced for the public.Chuck.

I wish they would have gone production with that....My favorite Merc for sure.
The VMAX 150 TRP is the only counter-rotating outboard ever produced as far as I know. 1997-2003 and 2005
