    exhaust exit port

I have seen 2.4L motors with both small and large exhaust exit ports.. At least that is the best name I can think of right now.. My question is should I cut my small port block to make it a large port and what stock motors came with the large port?? I have attached a picture that I found here to show you what port I am talking about.. Also to mention that I am having my exhast chest cut down some but not porting it to the max.. It is just a 2.4L block and not worth spending a bunch of money on just want to built a bit stronger motor.

Cut the exits to match the adapter plate...The matching iz actually more important than the size...A stock 2.4 iz capible ov 7800 to 8000 rpm in stock form...sum will turn more, but they reely don't make HP over that...

this is not a picture of my motor
I picked up on that Lee...But I stick to my guns...Juss match the ports...If U make them bigger, juss make sure the openings in your adaptior plate is the same size, all the way to the tuner...U don't want it to open up and then choke down before it gits to the tuner...Juss use your tuner az a guide...If U wanna open up the block, open it up to the size ov your tuner inlet!!!...JMO..REX
