The molds just went up to Canada about a month ago. I'm not sure of the name of the company that bought them, but they haven't had them for long.

Pair
I tried unsuccesfully to load video.
I fowarded it to Tommy (ModVP22) to see if he could load it on this thread for us. I'm sure he can. (after coming home from the clubs)
I have 5 or 6 video's of the boat running and it's down right scary!! (ask anyone that was there)
I have another number for you to try Pair. It was his emergency contact # from his registration at the Rumble.
Maybe same scenario but it's better than you had I guess.
Did you try calling info for that area??

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Another picture of the boat in question.
The lettering on the hull is different in this picture, but maybe the photo is older. It must be the same boat, they both have a radar gun mounted on the dash
He's definitely hanging from the tie bar in the other photo. The couple with the yellow boat behind him are standing up in waist-deep water, but he's up to his neck, holding on to the bar.
That's one bad-as$ boat. I'd have one for myself if I was in the appropriate income bracket.Last edited by pyro; 04-28-2005 at 08:11 AM.

I am not sure how much I am at liberty to say about the 22 Talon molds, but they are in Canada. A gentelman on here is involved with them.
If you want any information on the new Talons you can contact Ted Greguc at Speedmaster Marine at 905-939-0963.
The glass man that is building them, it one of the best ( John Spaith ). It is my understanding that they are using the same laminate schedual that Gary did with the exception that the new boats are going to be vacuum bagged.
Im my opinion, I feel that these boats are going to be better than the originals, John is an Organic chemist by education and is anal about the small details, with over 500 boats built under his belt ( all were performance ) he has considereble experiance.
These new boats should be a little lighter and a lot stiffer than the originals, as new resins and methods are being used.
Ted's, background in racing will give the boats a first class rigging and set-up. ( 91 Mod-vp world champ ).
------- I think that is all correct, if wrong, I am sure Ted will correct me...... one thing for sure is that the glass/gell/structure is going to be first class!

That boat flat out hauled ASS!!!! Remember he did stuff it two years ago at the Rumble. I would assume he has had that repaired but look closely. By the way, I know that Tony Wilson (aka-speedracer) just bought my old Talon 22 last week. I'm surprised he has'nt posted anything on it yet. Big old V-8 OMC. Well, now the cat is out of the bag so to speak. Later, Dave
