He's going to Afghanistan next week to see first hand how the liberal media is downplaying the successes of the liberation, and to thank the troops! I guess the libs will try to counter this somehow? Maybe not though, seems like they are now starting to state that our efforts are working! The Europeans are also saying the same! Maybe some of Screams "Bush Bashers" will come around?
Anyway it will be interesting to see how his trip is covered? I wonder if he will get as much coverage as sean penn did when he went to Iraq?

Tells people that drug users should be sent up the river and then does everthing he can to hinder the investigation into his own drug use. Thru his conservative lawyer of course! If that was Michael Moore under investigation, conservatives(more hypocrites) would have had him taken off the air already! They seem to support their own no matter what, just like they always accuse the liberals of doing!

The facts are that in the first few years Rush was on the air, the late 80s, he made a couple comments about drug use! They were more in the line of addicts needing to help themselfs and accountability. A matter of fact the liberal media couldn't even dig up any comments he made on drug addition in the last 17 years or so! Please show me any hypocritical remarks he made before or after he use the pain killers for his back pain.
I'll send them to cnn, I'm sure they'll be happy to have the info!

If so, that would make the doctor a drug dealer. Although I haven't heard him called that.

Drug use (legal or otherwise) is a great thing and what you do with your body is fine and the government (read you and I) should pay for however many detoxings you need and give you social security since you can't hold a job...

...until you're a conservative. Then, demonstrating any human weakness is unforgiveable and this from a group that considers themselves more caring than conservatives.

The reason this hasn't resounded in our country - shocking in itself considering the degree that the liberal media pushed this at us - is that it's really his business. If what he'd done had any criminal element he'd be in jail right now considering the dogged manner in which the DA has invaded his privacy...another hotbutton for liberals unless the person whose rights are being violated is a conservative.

The guy developed an addiction to a painkiller he was legally prescribed. Even if he did go out and buy heroin or some such on the street, he wouldn't be the hypocrite liberals attacking him are as the guy has never maligned addicts. In fact, he's likely more compassionate than any of his critics.

Why is he a target? Because he holds the light of truth up to the liberal dogma and demonstrates the idiocy of their views. Ideas forged in the 60s that in effect embraced civil rights without civil responsibility have resulted in liberals constructing a fragile fantasy world. Rather than acknowledge their flawed thinking and lifestyles, they strike out at those that present the conflict. It's like living on the fifth floor of a building and saying, "I don't need to evacuate the building; the fire's on the first floor."

Rush Limbaugh entertains and motivates millions of people a day. He holds down a job that requires him to consider the nature of humanity and provide insight five days a week. How many of us can say they could do that? Through the treatment of his addiction (that he didn't ask any of us to pay for), he maintained his listeners that - even as "evil conservatives" - found it in themselves to understand and wish him well. Maybe liberals could take a lesson from this.

SEE! Defending him no matter what!!! It wasn't aspirin! Addicts take that stuff for the good feeling it gives them! And like the government is accusing Rush of doing, they go to different doctors with their pain and get the doctors to write prescriptions. The doctor doesn't know other docs have given the person prescriptions also! It's called doctor shopping. And his lawyers are trying to keep the government from getting the medical records that they need to prove it.

The truth is I don't care if you guys start a cult and worship at his feet!

But I still say if it was Michael Moore or some other Liberal, you guys would be all over it!!!!

He's from the "Do as I say, not as I do!" school of conservative thought!
