    Wink ???????????

    KK, STOCK? !
Sleekster, made it home w/o incident last night. The boat looks good. Small world too. The previous owner is from Ohio and used to race a Stream about 10 mins from my house.
    Rules and Classes???
    One word, YUCH!
We have three events planned for each day. If we break down classes, we won't get anything else done, and I'm not doing it!
If you guys can come up with something basic, we'll talk about it.
The V-4,6,8 makes since but what about everything else??
    In-line Mercs with the V-4's??
What defines Unlimited?? Now we go back to worrying about who is on the bottle and who's not???
    NOTTT GONNNNNA DEW IT!
What SpeedRacer and I have been thinking is basically pick your partner, and set your own rules!
    Ala Street Racing!
Personally, I'd like to take B.L.s Lund and run KK!
10 boat jump and KK, you have to start with your motor shut off!!
An idea Tony came up with was, have a "kitty" for anybody that wants to play hard ball.
$10., $20. or whatever, per person goes in the kitty. Numbers are assinged.
    One loss and your out.
The last man standing wins the pot!
Classes work at a race, but this aint a race and I am not going to spend my entire weekend spec'ing classes, assinging + monitoring #'s, and settling arguments!
    I LIKE STREET RACING!
If a guy in a 15 Bayliner w/a 85 Force wants to line up against Eric (love to see it!), it's up to the guy in the Bayliner to stipulate the rukes for that paticlular race!!
Don't get me wrong, classes would even the field and probably make it more fun for the racers, but I don't want to turn this into a "Weekend Drag Race".
    To Mike, AWESOME NEWS!!
Can't wait to see the Bad Ass OMC's there!!
Never seen anything like that before! Would have at Jasper but was too damn sick to make the trip!
And on your offer of the SS ride, huuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmhhhhh?
    HELL YEAH!!!!
Maybe float a couple of bumpers/turn markers??
    I love oval racing!!!
Oh Yeah. Here is an addition to one of our other events that I don't want to bump.
Got a call from the 317 MPH man yesterday (Ken Warby).Ends up he has a llower tollerance for "trailer racing" than I do.
    A little back ground here.
At Rumble #1 there was a lot of "talking" going on while boats sat on trailers??
    Whats up with this ****???
Anyhow, Ken was prodding me to make a challenge to the boys to "get it on". Well with no liability ins. last year, can you say "I was a chicken ****?". I knew that you could.
Anyhow, we have it this year.
    So fast forward to yesterday.
Mr. Warby says "how about a flying mile race?".
We go from a 20 or 30 roll, following a pace boat, when evey one is lined up even, it's a start.
The first one to the finish boat a mile away wins.
Now here's where it gets interesting.
Ken has put up $500. cash to the winner!!
    Oh yeah, winner take all!
If this is a go, I will look for additional donations and we will call this the "Warby Challenge", the fastest man on the water!!
    How bout dem apples fellars??
Any Mercs out there that will stay together for a mile???
Ken, you are the "REAL" Instigator!! I am a little puppy dog compared to you.
I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!
    Thank You Ken, You Rock!!
Ken has already done so much to help this years event, I can't begin to thnk him enough!!
Also the rumor mill is starting to get interesting!!
Word is already out on Sleeks little secret
Another one. Heard that Ken may be bring the lifting gear to get the jet wet
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Instigator --- Have you ever heard of a "Calcutta Auction"??? Ken knows what I'm talking about -- we had them at the Havasu Classic each year, invited all the businessesmen from town to join in, and it was just about as important as the race itself. What a hoot! --- I think the "RUMBLE" needs one, if not this year, next year? Especially with all the trailer racing going on!!! You'll never see a "kitty" grow any faster than that!!!

This is how one Florida Fishing Tournament does it, right at registration:
    http://www.icflorida.com/community/g...a/Auction.html

And this is how another group does it, much more detailed and using the Internet a week or two prior:
    http://www.geocities.com/urwlcome/calcuttarules.html

    I'm in!

WWSR SNEAK PREVIEW?? Are we going to have a "Light-Off"??? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! (how do you make these little eyes bug out more?)

    ooooooh....can't wait.

    KK

IM WITH YOU, BUT THE ONLY THING I AM AGAINST IS THE PEOPLE WHO SIT ON THE SIDE AND TELL EVERYONE THEY ARE WITH I COULD BEAT HIM SO WHATS THE SENSE IN RACING HIM. THERE WILL BE A LOT OF HOT BOATS AT THIS MEET. BUT I DON'T WANT TO HERE HOW HOT THEY ARE I WANT TO SEE FIRST HAND HOW HOT THEY ARE. WIN,LOSE OR DRAW I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW ANYONE WHAT MY BOAT HAS. I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE WILL DO THE SAME. THERE IS NO SHAME IN TRYING, BUT THERE IS SELF SHAME IN NOT TRYING. THANKS ERIC.

    Cool "No Class" Class

I can fill that! Although I try to be nice! Dignity, Allison7712, you are right, put up or shut up. No shame in losing, or winning, there is in whining!

delawarerick, I'm not home much and sometimes the cell has crap for signal. We'll talk soon! Live life once. Gonna have fun, for sure.

KK, You'll have a great seat to hear the Monty Music, it will be in front of you! Hahahahahaha! I have an Alpine Flex 5 amp and Orion Xtreme3 12" sub. Do you think my 'ol head unit will do OK? Gotta keep the connections dry for sure. I think the Sleek will have some nice tunes this summer.

Scott, looks like I'm going to join you in a set-up experimentation...

Instigator, thanks again for all the beating you did on that Vector. Hope Mike didn't think you were trying to beat holes into it w/ the wooden mallet, in an attempt to beat down the price!!!!!! Good to hear you made in home OK. Nothing like a 550 mile test ride! I did that once w/ my Supra - 685 miles, knew I wanted but on a $500 deposit...I guess I projected a trustworthy case to the doctor owner! After 245,000 miles, still strong!!

Thanks to Mike H, BL, Hyflier, for all the suggestions and help getting the Vector.

Now its just time to build the motor to push it! I'll keep you all posted on the hop-up, build-up mount-up experience. Stay tuned.

    Smile The KK Challenge

Better think twice Kirk, by the time you catch up we'll be going to fast for you to jump my wake!

Woodco, how 'bout a Cruiser class at the Rumble? I'd like to bring my Sea Ray at the 03 Rumble. We'd end up washing all the go fast boats up on the beach

    Cool BK

Might bring both the Sleek and Vector. The Sleek would be a great baby-sitting boat while mom and dad are racing the other Rumble-ters. Rachel completed the boating safety course over a year ago, has her card and drives the Sleek very well. Well enough for me to look at the business end w/ a slalom ski strapped to me! Great platform to take pictures. Ask BL!

Any other teenagers coming? What I mean by that is any chronological teenagers coming? I know a bunch of emotional teens, even infantiles, will be there, hehehehehe.

I guess if Rachel is towing the Vector, I might put brakes on it's trailer. Safety first! Need either another cell or CB...hummmmmmm this could be fun.
    Sea ya, Sleekster
