Yeah Jason, even though Wes was awesome he never was as big as Eddie, I think that is a big reason for the Eddie edition Kaw's selling great and the Wes edition Zook's not doing as well. It would be cool to see Suzuki come out with a retro Wes Cooley bike like Kawasaki did with Eddie's bike.
Duke, how long have you had the 67 ?Comp. STV - 2.5 EFI

Although I've seldom seen an Eddie Lawson retro Kaw, there are usually quite a few of them running around Daytona during BikeWeek. What we really need is a Kenny Roberts retro TZ 750 for the street.
Or Gary Nixon Triumph 750 flat tracker with lights. Or also for the street, a Springsteen XR 750.

I've never bought a new bike, but I'm fairly certain I would buy a Kenny replica. There was a Eddie replica (new) at a Publix (grocery store) some guy who worked there drove. He'd park it by the door, so I'd check it out and drool whenever I went there.

That thing is ugly.... and why doesn't it have a Hayabusa motor in it?Currently involved in activity that can only break one piston at a time......

Yea.. I could live with a TZ replica.. Probably wouldn't be much fun to ride, but it would be cool..
Oh.. and I'll bet that a lot of the Eddie bikes were "replica" replicas... I think there was a big run on lime green paint and "J" model Kawasakis a few years back..

'cept KR never rode a superbike...
Can't see that thing selling here.. Just complete with the FZ-1.. I think only Kawasaki seems to understand the "retro" thing.. Bandits are kinda cool, but not really retro.. That 919 Honda is a slug.. and the FZ-1 Yamaha is just an R1 with a half fairing.. Kawasaki did it right with the ZRX (except for the color).. and the Z-1000 -- although not really retro -- is a really cool bike...Currently involved in activity that can only break one piston at a time......

I can't believe anybody actually thought Suzuki was gonna build that.... Supercharged 'Busa motor. Nobody'd insure it.. Everybody would get killed on the thing... Can you imagine 250 hp and 150 ft/lbs. of torque... and an upright seating position..??? Maybe if you put an 8'' over arm on it..
