Is Al Gore the dumbest white boy to ever rise to the top of the Democratic party???
Lemme make sure I've got this right in my mind. Four years ago, Gore picked Joe Leiberman as the best man to be Vice President. This means that he was the best to be Prez if anything happened to Al himself.
Now, a scant 4 years later, Gore, without so much as a prior phone call to Leiberman, endorses Dean on national TV. Of course ole' Joe's on all the networks cryin' and moaning about Al not paying him the common respect of a phone call prior to the announcement, and Gore's former (losing) campaign manager is explaining to Dan Rather on his show about how Al's endorsement is just the shot in the arm that the Dem's need.
Al used his portion of the interview to take a cheap shot at W over the war, so I guess that means the economy is back on track since he's quit whipping that horse.
I used to think the Dems should change their name to Socialist's Party, but I'm thinkin' now it should be the Dumbass Party instead. I guess we'll see now how many really stupid voters there are.Membership upgrade options: http://www.screamandfly.com/payments.php

The "Hillary" thing is scary for a bunch of reasons... The biggest one (to me), is the fact that the republicans don't have a successor in line for Bush. Personally, I think the endorsement of Dean is pretty meaningless... I think Dean, in the great tradition of McGovern and Mondale, is just a sacrificial lamb for this election..
Currently involved in activity that can only break one piston at a time......

Let me see if I have this right. When Cheney runs for president, is Bush going to automatically endorse him?? Oh, I forgot. Cheney is still on the Halliburton payroll so I.m sure they will take care of him. Interesting article in today's Chicago Tribune (a conservative paper the last I heard) that Halliburton, after getting the multi billion dollar contract to reconstruct Iraq WITH NO BID, is charging our government 2.50 per gallon of gas shipped in from Kuwait.

First things first. Little Al is and always be in a popularity contest, as he knows no loyalty. It's because he has no spine, that nobody wanted him to represent the USA as President. Secondly, Lieberman was just a popularity endorsement, because everyone knows Little Al can't hold his own. So this year, he agreed with the populace, Lieberman is an asshole.
Those boys are all like crabs in a basket anyway :-)

Hadn't really thought much about it until Cap'n's Hillary/Lieberman post, but it makes sense that they've already conceeded this election so Dean's just a throw down like GP said and Al will have his nose right up Hillary's/Lieberman's ass in 08.
Personally, I think that W needs to find an electable candidate as his VP in 04 so there'll be some hope of continuity in 08. The Dems would obviously have a field day with Cheney's health unless he comes with a helluva runnin' mate.Membership upgrade options: http://www.screamandfly.com/payments.php

Tuesday Dec. 2, 2003; 12:44 a.m. EST Bagram, Iraq- US. Troops Waited While Hillary Chowed Down
U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton forced U.S. troops stationed at Bagram air base in Afghanistan to wait for their Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday, while she and her entourage arrived late, then cut in line and were served first.
A soldier who witnessed the scene tells NewsMax:
"Thanksgiving Dinner started at 3 p.m. that day, so the line was forming around 2:30 p.m. She didn't show up until around 3:30 p.m.
"Once she got there," our source maintains, "Clinton and her entourage bumped everyone in line, forcing them to wait almost an extra hour."
The brass at Bagram apparently had a hard time rounding up New Yorkers who wanted to have dinner with Clinton, D-N.Y. Only six GIs responded to an e-mail sent out last week that stated, "Looking for military members from New York and Rhode Island interested in meeting their Senator/Congressman."
People Magazine was on hand to cover the event and wanted to interview the troops for reaction to Clinton's visit.
"But they were getting declined left and right," our source said. "People were actually telling the reporters 'You don't want to print what I think about her and her visit.'"
After Clinton and her entourage departed, the only topics GIs wanted to talk about were "how great the food was and how fantastic they thought George Bush's visit to Iraq was."

FYI, the main reason Haliburton got the contract in Iraq is no one else can do what they do at the level they do it.

I think even the Dems agree that Leiberman is a weak candidate. He is clean but way to liberal as a whole. Their whole party has been a mess since the Bill and Hilary spin-off. So they are still looking for a true identity to hide behind.
They've been dicking around with multiple players and looking for feedback, cause their backs are against the wall if they don't hit the mainstream.
If AL is their shining star, enough said. That's like Gomer Pyle running for Sect. of Defense........

Man, I can't believe it....
I guess u can't use "whore" and "Democratic" in the same sentence. What it is, "is" aliterative, redundant, repetitive
And two wrongs STILL don't make a right :-)
