typing 1/4,1/2,3/4.....
How do you type a small half? I have seen it done but cant figure it out myself. I have to type 25 1/2. I have seen it where the 1/2 was small and the 1 was over the 2. Am I confusing?

Thanks PhastBoat!
But it only works if you use the number key pad on the right side of the keyboard. My 'puter just "bings" when I hold down the alt key and use the numbered keys across the top of the keyboard.
And thanks to Brad for starting this thread.Any fool can make something complicated - it takes a genius to make it simple.

An easy way is to type your post in word where you can hit insert, and pick a symbol. It makes the 1/2 small automatic and checks your spelling on the run too; then copy/paste the text to the post window. Too much of a pain for normal posts though so I rarely bother.
If you want to and don't know the fast way; click and hold on the first letter of your finished word-typed post text, and drag to the end to select the text and make it all blue. Hit ctrl-C to copy, then click in the S&F post text window to (make that window active)get the curser where you want to put the text and hit ctrl-P to paste it. You can transfer text that way with the clipboard to any window(s) if you need to, and can paste that same text repeatedly until you ctrl-C something else. I use that way to copy www addresses out of the browser address bar quickly also, where you just click the address and it will turn all blue and be selected to copy.Last edited by sho305; 12-04-2003 at 08:42 AM.

More Charactors
PhastBoat,
It's even easier than that. For MS (microsoft) users click "Start" > programs > Accessories > System Tools > Charactor Map There is a few hundered in there. And if you hover your mouse over it, a help pop-up will show you the code you can type. Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, and many more. ¨ù ¨ú ☻¡Ï¡Î¢¼¢À¢¾♦♫Last edited by jrpromax; 12-05-2003 at 11:45 AM.
