    Wingplate Hydraulic Steering

Just wondering if you get full lock to lock with wingplate hydraulic steering.

I don't think any will give 100 percent of whats available on swivel pin. All the rams I've seen bottom out first. A well designed system will give you most of it. I have Latham on my 300R's they designed a ram and tilt tube combo specifically for that engine. I never paid attention to exactly how travel it has compared to swivel pin bottoming out but, Its most of it. Certainly enough as I never wished it turned more.

When I repowered from optis my existing Mayfair cylinders had no where near enough travel. I began to install and immediately recognized it wasn't going to work.

...the most common two sizes, and the most sold, by mayfair, latham, giegertech, etc., were/are 7'' length & 9'' length cylinders. always go with their clevis style ends, which are also available in a few different lengths...

the wingplate and cylinder mount geometry will dictate the steering travel! the cylinder mount point closer to the pivot and mid will give more travel sacrificing leverage! pretty easy to figure out using a cardboard template!
