He's on to me for my request in the classifieds.
Looking for a cheapish 250 omc powerhead
Shoot me a PM or email me if you’re still looking to get the 250 OMC powerhead. I have one up for sale;

Regards.

JSONS is banned. I am very sorry to read about this. Please send me a message with details of your situation. Did you pay this person using Venmo or CashApp? Unfortunately if you did, you have no recourse, which is why I warn everybody about never using those payment methods. If you used PayPal's standard 'Goods and Services' payment method, you should be covered. Contact me about this.
Did read this post prior to entering the transaction? It is posted in most of the forums here.
Everybody, PLEASE READ that post. It will minimize the risks of conducting business with strangers here, and anywhere on the internet.

Yeah, PayPal definitely has its issues but having protection for transactions with unknown people is a huge benefit. In my experience, when a seller insists that the sale must be transacted via Cash App or Venmo, that is a huge red flag. As outlined in the post pinned at the top of this forum, these scammers always follow the same rules:
- The scammer will immediately try to move the sale discussion off the forum or platform (Facebook Marketplace, etc.) by providing a phone number or email to reach them at. That is done to pull the buyer away from the risk of the scammer getting banned before they can steal the buyer's money, or the seller being alerted to the scam by others.
- They will then insist that they can only receive payment by Venmo or Cash App. Usually, the seller "has a friend" that has the part the buyer is looking for.
- And with Venmo and Cash App, once the money is sent, it's gone. No recourse. That is of course why those payment platforms are the preferred choice of scammers.
If buyers can avoid those pitfalls, they are safe. I manually approve or deny each new registration to this forum, and although I catch nearly all of them before they can post, some will slip through because it's impossible to make a determination if they are a scammer or not with 100% assurance.

Almost everything I've purchased through S&F has been a ripoff.
I bought a "mint" Bridgeport block with 5 cracked bridges but the guy had supposedly spent the money... so he sent me a junk crank with a speedy-sleeve in exchange. A "like new" four-blade prop with three different pitched blades. An "excellent condition" ModVP cowl that was touched up with a spray bomb. And about six other things I can't recall right now.
I posted here probably 15 years ago that the buy/sell here is a BAD idea... make people sell on EBay and post a link here, so you have some recourse a and seller ratings to help avoid scams.

I have a list of 15 people I will send money to no questions asked. The scrap merchants are like flies on **** here however. The last big deal was a x powerhead that was'nt worth $70 let alone the $7,000 that was paid for it. I threw away everything but the block and still had to put $500 into it to make it usable.
