Good video, thanks for posting it.
I have been a Raider enthusiast for several years having learned about them during my search for a 40 Tohatsu two stroke for myself. I also learned that the 40 Tohatsu is the lightest weight 40 ever built by any major manufacturer. AIR, a short shaft motor only weighs 129 lbs. that's a big difference from American manufacturers' 40s. They are awesome little motors.
Mine has been mounted on a Panther electric trim bracket, on my 13' 8" CMF boat, painted mud brown for duck hunting on a river near me. I'm going to paint my Tohatsu 40 mud brown as well and have black RAIDER decals made for it. As I said, I'm a big fan of Raider.

Thank you for your service, Kirchner. I appreciate it.
And, the river vessels used there have long intrigued me.

The older Tohatsu 40s, like mine, are 2 cylinders. The later ones were/are 3 cylinders.

Would like to find one of those Tohatsu 40hp 2 stroke engines. Either 2 cylinder or 3 cylinder 20” shaft and for remote controls. No power trim. Looking for lightest model weight. The 2 cylinder is the lightest at around 130 pounds and the 3 cylinder is around 150 pounds.

My brother has the 60hp version of that motor, parts are getting hard to find for those older Nissan/Tohatsu's.

Tohatsu still makes the 2 cylinder 40 for the international market. Can’t get them in USA.
