I lived thru that era. A newer, faster boat was always in the works. Better props. Bigger engines too. Worked at a merc dealer and sold Streams and Glastrons. It was a special time indeed. A new Viper with a 150XS fully rigged on a trailer was only 7000 bucks. We all pulled our boats with Mustangs, Camaro's and other hot rods.

Ain't it great to have papa TRUMP back at the helm?

I towed my old Boat with a Camaro for years. Sleds too! Should have seen the looks I got dragging two sleds at 75mph through a blizzard. I knew a guy who had a newish Volvo who totalled it. I bought his snow tires. 165/65/15 Nokia hakapelitas. I believe these are what inspired the blizzaks. Amazing snows I could drive that thing like a rally car

Although I was not alive during this period I can only imagine how frigin cool it must have been to have all those super fun, simple hot rod options. Thanks for sharing!
