Hey Guys. Dave here aka ThatguyDave. I've finally gotten this 1993 Checkmate Pulse running thru the chop and between the logs and branches on the Delaware river just south of Philadelphia so if you see me feel free to say hi unless I'm docking and you value your life and property.

Getting this boat going has been a long laborious battle hampered by a shop move, every conceivable interruption, and seemingly endless antics from the small bore V4 looper. Thankfully I think the worst is over and I might just be able to finally contribute to technical conversations on here. I definitely owe some gratitude to Instigator and Racer for their OMC posts among others.

I have an almost endless amount of thoughts on alternative boat designs and a second 17ft Checkmate project hull so expect some build thread in the future out of me. My pathetic attempts at documenting my antics are almost criminal but I'm trying to get better at producing content and contributing to conversations.

Looks good! The more you post the better your rig runs that was the key for me. Your back story is similar to mine I lurked for years but once I got engaged things really started to work well.
