How much power did the 2.5 Mod VP make?
Looks like the 225 ProMax prototype . I have a pristine 1992 Mod VP motor . Need more info about them. Value would be nice too. This ones got extremely low hours--looks like it was just assembled! Analog ECU is the downside. Let me know what you can share with me about this baby. Thanks

Ok 262 powerhead?
Thats about 240hp. I'll measure the port timing again. Approx value for the drop on? Its got to be a very very low hour motor by the looks of the sleeves. Came off a big heavy ski boat if you can believe that! Ran it for a short time and pulled it off. Probably lacked for bottom end. More info please. Thanks

Very old thread... Anybody remember anything about the 2.5 modvp? Port heights? Power? I think I've got one. 91 stamped block with no machining for oiling system, rod slots, 4 bolt main, idle relief sleeves. It's been posted and exhaust is hogged out, though it sure doesn't look like factory work

The idle relief sleeves is very odd for no oiler? Sleeves have been swapped out is my only guess. To my knowledge the only 2.5 that came with idle relief sleeves is the XR6 which is the BB block which didn’t arrive until 93 iirc.

Block is unpainted, oil gear is machined on the block side but not the front half side.

Looked at your pictures again. I think you have mis matched block halves. Looks like you have a 200 F block with the paint removed. And a high performance front half. That's why the block is milled for oil injection but the front half is not. It's obviously been blown up a couple times.
