Yeah.. I remember that, but it's a long time ago and we are moving forward now.
OMC died 25 years ago.
Evinrude/Johnson under BRP also gone.
Only memories left.
I get the question sometimes on FB if Evinrude could come back but I cant see how that's possible.

I saw an A Stock Hydro w/a capsule!

WTF people, there is risk involved.

Im a huge fan of the Isle of Man motorcycle race and keep expecting the man to cancel that historic race due to the risk.

Ask the riders what they think.

When they put capsules in the 45 boats they look like cartoons!

Had no idea.

In my opinion the 45 was the second most important (2nd only to the F-1 V-8) OMC race motor ever built.

WOW..Exactly 50 years ago today
September 21 1975 - 2:00 PM eastern time started the Amsterdam 3 Hour race.

The red dot is me in the #71 Clerici/Evinrude.
3 Hours later I was in the Victory Circle.
Great memories from a fantastic race.

What Mercury power are they running? Looks like 2 stroke Mercury 2.5 from the cowls. Are they S3000’s?

..and a few 4 stroke V8's..So far they cant keep up with the 200XS..
This season marks a new chapter for TMK. He is racing a new boat powered by a Mercury Racing 250 APX, a 4.6-litre, V8 four-stroke outboard engine.
