I don't have any reason for that.
SST 45-Formula Light is more or less the only tunnel boat racing left today, using OMC made outboards.
I really love when young new drivers have success and I enjoy promoting that.
The builder of this great looking SST 45-Formula Light boat does not really matter to me..but I have an interest in the outboard Shelby is using.
I did read on Hoffmans FB page..Rick is building a new boat for the Merc Formula Race/60 R engine.
I guess that's the end of the SST 45 engine/class soon.
Mercury Racing still support racing and that's a good thing.

You do remember me telling you I built the first SST 45 motor in my workshop. Submitted papers to APBA SO, no go. Submitted all documents to Edgar Rise, no response. Two years later when they introduced the A motor, guess what they also introduced the 45. Dave Haman initially took credit working for Edgar without knowing created it’s
