I have heard that they are speed limited from the factory but don't know how true this is.

The stuff shown in the video that Charlie posted is pretty much all turbo conversions with billet blocks and lots of aftermarket internals turning them really hard. These are set up for short blast to 125+ (not the stuff that we encounter on the river **YET**). The stock yamaha H.O. supercharged versions are still weapons but nothing like the 50+p.s.i. turbo conversions. I personally can't imagine running those speeds on a ski.

That was 13 years ago so maybe we have escaped for now.

Anyway, just a little nudge to be careful what we wish for. Sometimes the grenade we drop is closer to us than we thought it would be.

Ski, love the Valero. Would be super interested to hear back from you how it handles. Are you going to put your new 2.4/200 on it?

Sorry mate. That's a sentence fragment, and not enough information for anyone to understand your point. Can you flesh out your position, so the rest of us can understand you?

Sadly, I haven't run one of my V4 crossflows in a few years now. Gone all Merc V6. A 2.4/200 for our fast recreational boat, and a Merc 90hp FourStroke for our slower recreational boat, (17 Whaler). Yes. Four stroke. It's big and heavy, but it's on a Whaler, so it can handle it. Barely. Super quiet at idle. Not so much at cruise.

I really need to find the time to attend to my crossflows. One a Frankenstein 140, is on my Viper. But the Viper has a raised transom and the motor sucks air at certain speeds. I think I need to cone it with a LWP. But girls as 10 and 14 now, and need more and more attention. I was going to start a thread to talk about what if any options there are besides Bobs/LWP. Maybe it will be enough to just fill in the top holes?

Have someone who is a competent color sander take a look at it. They will know if it can be brought back. Probably not a DIY job.

That may clean up. Try a test spot wet sanding with 800/1000/1500/2000 and then buff with compound and see how it comes out.

When I was fueling up the boat today there was a guy with a jetski at the gas station. He said his ski could do 105 mph. But he said he doesn't have the balls to go that fast. He said he never broke 90. Just to scary.

Watch some videos of those guys going 130 - 140 on those things. The ones that jump off the throttle, just about go over the bars. I don't imagine you make to many sudden moves without paying the price.

Already have. Looks like the guy almost ate the handlebars when he backed off.

This was fun. Beat some jetski's then hit 75 mph for the first time.
