Dad's first race boat was a Hustler tunnel with a GT115. First time on the water, Silver Lake, Wisconsin, stood it straight up.... luckily came down right side up

Hi Bill, 1st and only timer I blew a boat over was my Hustler tunnel with the Evinrude X115...think it was Merrill Wi. early 70's.

1969 Hustler fun
Just stumbled across this thread. Brings back old memories. I acquired a 1969, what I thought was a 16’ Hustler in 1970. It was one year old with a 125BP, super speed master LU and all. Clocked at 73, and yes, a wild ride. As we now know the BP secretly put out 165hp. ( Mercurys little secret). Engine blew up and I exchanged to a (almost) stock 150 in 1976. Green metal flake and a real head turner. Thought about adding a pad but chose the move to an Allison XTB instead. Loved the hustler! All fun, all good!
