Hey Ed, sorry I missed this. I ran a lightning 4 blade 28p. With 1-2 ppl on board it would plane nicely tilting on the left sponson then settling down. With a full boat it was much longer to get up and plane out but it would ride nicely, but very difficult to get air under the hill with that power and a full boat. More cruising than speed. I never got chance to prop test much in the extreme, so I can only reference my experience with it, but I'm sure there's some good information here on scream and fly if you search a bit more. I hit 97.1mph with my wife and I in the boat and a half tank of fuel with that setup and there was a good solid midrange. Hope that helps,
Cheers

Just starting the journey with a 21 Xtreme, it will have a new 300 Pro XS on it, swapping out old Jack plate with a newer style lift and setback and adding steering assist, probably start with a 30p Cleaver, i hope it works ok, I'm retired so nothing but time to get her dialed in. One item of concern is the torquemaster with no low water pick up, Anyone else running a new four stroke XS Pro motor?

You are going to need a sportmaster lower unit on that boat. You have to surface that prop for that applicatition. I won't even waste my time with a nosecone.
