Knot 4 Sail!!!!!!!!!!! They will be for sale when the executor of my will says so.

    Roger Hinsdale

Lars Strom, To clarify, I'll be breaking in the even-fire RS on the left as soon as it quits raining here. Th one in the center is sold to a notable V&H'er in Florida, and the one on the right is an even-fire back-up for the one on the left. I have run the even-fire when Mark Rotharmel was here in March, but damaged #5 due to my screw-up with the wrong timer base. Have that fixed now and will break it in again soon. I am out of CCC/RS parts, so these three are the last ones for me. Hope all is well with you & Carina Strom.

We had that rule over here in the Sport classes too for a while. I used to have to run with my front hatch cover off to comply. By 1974 when I started to run the same boat in SD I was able to leave it on and clean up the boats aero a little bit.Click image for larger version.

Movie Making – Behind the Scenes

To create a closeup of the race driver in running action, the huge fan and high-pressure fire hoses whip-up the water while the Johnson powered race boat is actually fixed to the dock. The footage would be inserted into the actual race scenes. With the large movie cameras of the day, filming a driver closeup during the race would not have been possible.

The Dominate Outboard- Since its first production motor in December 1921, Johnson outboards had established a speedy path to racing supremacy. In fact, Johnson had raced to more victories in that era than all the other outboard brands combined.

    Bob Carnett,

When I worked at Second Effort back in the late 80s the model company came there and took photos and measurements. Then later on they produced this model. I never opened the box. Still sealed in plastic wrap., when I worked there I actually drove this truck to Miami to Aronow boats to pick up things. My buddy, fellow worker opened his., the model company got things so correct that a hatch on the bottom of the boat was crooked , just like on the model.

Thanks for the history on the truck! I never could figure out why the truck was part of the model set?

This Burgess boat is Lennart Ström's former race boat, (my brother told me that a few days ago.)
