Interestingly, this McLaren is separate from the car/race company and is owned by a Canadian auto parts company.

I know nothing about this engine; but there's a difference between a Lamborghini and a Yugoborghini.

469 lbs "dry" weight. I want something less than 450lbs fully rigged, oiled, all cowls mounted. Not some skimped down artificial weight just so an advertising brochure can say how "lightweight " it is

Add a 15” mid, and a ratcheting gearcase to the wish list. The 200R isn’t perfect, but it seems to work OK. Lighter than a 300R or a SHO Yamaha.

I expect they bought a Skater, swapped out the Mercs for the Hondas, took pics and videos, and put the Mercs back on to sell the boat. Kinda like the Lake of Ozarks electric speed record boat

The 200R with cowl and full of oil and gl is actually 514 lbs on a scale

If they can get 450-500 hp out of it I can absolutely see the appeal to the guys with six across on their center consoles. Having “McLaren” on the hood would be a definite one up on the dick measuring contest.
