    Quiet

I have several 2.5 midsections with cans removed and the 5 factory holes drilled to relieve exhaust/make more noise. I’m old and want a quieter engine. Does anyone have an easy way to block these holes? I don’t have cans to put back in.

For $10 I would try something like this, not sure if they will blow out or not but it would take about a minute to find out. (Snap in from the outside.)

They make a plumbing plug that has a wing nut on one size and tappered rubber disk on other side that fits in the hole or pipe and you tighten the wing nut and it seals. Got mine at home depot.

Those little snap in plugs come in many sizes, you need the half inch size. If you want to go cheaper they come in plastic and won't melt. Put a little JB weld on them or a little black silicone seal and you are done. I have done that to one of my motors.

These would probably even stay if you put them in the hole and pry them in tight with a wrecking bar?

I used plugs similar to these to shut off the upper water inlet holes on a v-4 lower unit. Tap the hole, screw them in. https://www.autozone.com/gaskets-and..._0_0?rrec=true

I have a liner I just threw in the scrapper you could have. May have others too. Let me know if you want one...but it may not even be worth what they want to ship big packages like that now. Up to you.
