You're joking, right? UIM F1 stopped using black paint on their engine buckets years ago.

    UIM F1 Motor Specs

The UIM motor tech specs do NOT represent current racing specs made by any manufacturer. They are custom built one-offs made by the race teams. Merit Stromeroy is the only participant trying to make use of the new Mercury APX V8 race unit. I have no idea where these teams are getting their parts from but it is NOT from Mercury Racing. Hence, the black paint and "Merc" are missing.

I believe Brendon Powers in Fla is building a bunch of them.

looks to still be 2.5 based but I’m sure with as much billet unbotanium that oil money can buy!

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Jonas Andersson is from the small town Frövi, Sweden and are now a three time UIM F1 World Champion. He is very unique because Jonas is the only "self employed" winning driver with a minimum racing budget.
In his little shop in Sweden he preparers his own Merc 2.5 liter V6 and design his own boats with help from the Danish boat builder Molgaard.
To beat the multi million dollar Middle Eastern teams with hired drivers makes his success even greater.
Congratulations Jonas to your third World Title.

    Very cool Lars!

    Thanks for that lesson.

Nice to see the underdog win.

I have heard rumors of what the other teams spend on powerheads.

    The Propeller..!!

Not many people know this but the Swede John Ericsson from Värmland, Sweden invented the propeller.

How does that work with 2 exhaust pipes and 3 different intake lengths?

The path from the bell mouth to the end of the megaphone is what they are compensating for although not quite making up the difference if its thats simple.
Mr Brucato was the man behind this
