Who has or had the fastest Vandal?

I was eyeballing my vandal today as I shuffled things around the yard. Started me thinking how to proceed with that build. I bought a couple 2.0L’s for it figuring that would be plenty of jam but I have a few 2.5’s and naturally wonder how well the hull could use the extra power? How fast has this hull gone? I know the Ventura has limits when the speeds get extreme the big front lifts a lot of air and the vandal is basically a mini Ventura. Let’s hear what you got to share

I have seen mention a couple times of guys hanging 2.5’s off of them as well. The hull will absolutely float the weight without issue. I’d venture to say the stern will float at least as high if not higher than my vking similar weight.

Anyways my thoughts on the vandal would be a much more stripped down approach than I took on my Vking build. Single layer 1708 on the hull, strip the entire hull down and lay with new core and coosa for structure. Aim for around 500lbs bare hull all said and done. Some simple lightweight glass seats and start with a warmed up 2.0L. I bet that set up alone would run mid-high 80’s pretty easy. A 2.5 like the one on my Vking would be pretty wild. If it pushes my Vking to 93 ( so far more to come ) then I could see 100+ with this vandal which is what I’m wondering mainly. At what speed does this hull become an airplane and go into orbit?
