Stator recomendations

I have a 86 225hp omc and it looks like I need a new stator (my current one failed the ohm test) any recommendations of a good replacement part I should try and buy or should I go for something used?

Can anyone please give me a review of the cdi unit or should I just try and track down a brp part or try and find new old stock of a omc part?

careful with resistance tests! they can fool you into thinking the part is bad. the only real was to do it properly is a $25 DVA adapter and run through all the cranking voltage tests. what part of the stator is ohm bad the charge coils or power coils?
